"Stop polution, Save the Climate-Save the world"
These days there are so much buzz out there regarding the banning of vehicles more than fifteen year old. It is quite certain the agitation following the ban will be rife as there are so many lives and their livelihood involved. but the question is where is the govt's participation in this cause. Just adhering to the High Court order does not serve all duty of govt. Being at the helm of public affairs in the city they have their obligation to offer suitable compensation to those to be affected by this mandate. A proper arrangement of easy bank loan to replace their old vehicle with a new one could have soften the problem a bit. But what the govt. did after working late on the Court's order, passed in 2007, they tried to force the bus owner to succumb to the law. As a result they tried to show their unity and might and called the stike that caused havoc monetary loss and physical harrassment to the people of the state. But for these set backs we can't forget about the health hazzereds caused by the toxic gasses spewed by these outdated modes of transport. The climate is changing, temperature is rising worldwide due to these deadly carbon emmission, the glacial ice is melting by few metres every year, the entire ecosystem is at risk. Under this unprecidented natural phenomenun we as citizens have to decide what is our priority, saving the Climate and our existence as a whole or just playing with our petty emotions and narrow differences. But the clock is ticking, time is very short whatever we have to decite we have to do fast because the mother Nature is waiting to take a revenge for the unjustice done to her.
