Maoists are not enemy of our nation
Maoist violence has now become talk of the hour specially in the eastern and northeastern region of our country. They are the headache of our home ministry and many state govt. agencies, police and the like. But why is there is much attention now about the Maoists? Because they have now become a threat to the state, ministers, cops, bureaucrats. These are the elements who for years kept the tribal, the backward community of the far flung, remote areas of the states under oppression, poor development, deprivation, corruption. At that time our ministers and bureaucrats were not at all worried about the well being of the downtrodden classes of the jungles. But later on when those hapless poor people found their back on the wall they retaliated and found the Maoists guerrillas as their savior, their messiah who could wean them from the atrocities of corrupt govt. officials in the villages of Bengal. Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand. thus Maoism got the boost and shelter they had hankered after for long to claim further ground for their mission. Primarily what seemed to be a non-violent movement got the fillip by the wrong step by the govt. of using force against them. In the mean time they started getting the support of some foreign powers to buy arms and ammo to match the joint forces of states. "Operation green hunt" is nothing but a snob, arrogant strategy on part of the govt. which has claimed many lives and will do in future on both sides. Who are these people those are being scapegoat in this narrow fight of conceit? they are our own people, the blood of our own brothers and sisters being shed for no reason!! Histry is the witness that only use of force and muscle power rather cause havoc and it never shows the path to resolve. So, it is better to get to the root of the problem and try politically and socially to persuade them to drop their arms with only asurance that there would be opportunity, development in their region at par with the rest of the country, the tribals would get their right, fair judgment, there will remain no oppression, no curruption in panchayet and their grievances would be heard and resolved amicabley.
