Team India, a lion only in its Den

It's shocking to see our famous, much celebrated, star studded bating lineup crumbles under pressure in the T20 WC against quality pace attack. In the opening match of the super 8 stage Dhoni and co. looked a pale shadow of their actual selves. First and foremost they chose a wrong combination by excluding one bowler on a tack that has always proved to be a happy hunting ground for the quickies. Barbados is the fastest wicket in the Caribbean. This pitch has always has that extra bounce and carry unlike Indian tracks. So, instead of taking an extra pacer Dhoni relied too much on his part time spinners and the result was quite evident besides Bhajji all got a pasting in the hands of the two devastating pair in Warner and Watson. It was raining sixes, 16 of them!!! went extra miles after clearing the fence!!! what a rubbish bowling was that?

once it looked like the Aussies maight cross the 200 run mark but it didn't thanks to some smart bowling in the last four overs. 185 was a tough ask on any pitch but when there was such a tallented batting line up as India have it would not have been impossible. but it became impossible at the end thanks to some mindless shot selection at the top and that age old weakness against short and fast delliveries. The taits and Nannis took the skelleton out of our superstar batsmen.

Nothing better we can expect from this team which is being nurished on the slow, dead track of India for ages. That's why our pacers can't cross the 150 km/ph mark and our batsmen never learns to play short, quick, bouncy stuffs. They are truly Lions on their backyard but what to call them on overseas condition?
